We understand that your daughter is the most important thing in the world to you, so we take extraordinary steps to ensure her health and wellbeing while in our care.
At Genazzano, all employees are trained to ensure they can deliver care to your daughter when it counts. From the Principal to the Registrar, the Head of Percussion to the Facilities Manager, each of our staff completes HLTAID012, equipping them with the skills to provide First Aid, deliver CPR and recognise and respond to Anaphylaxis.
With over 30 years of nursing experience, including 23 at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne in Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care, Emergency and Day Surgery. Our College Registered Nurse supports our students, educators, and professional staff to better health outcomes. Nurse Redman continues to work with children and young people at the RCHM throughout the year, ensuring her learning and practitioner skills remain best practice.
Our students also benefit from our College Therapy Dog Aurora. Working alongside Nurse Redman, Aurora has completed her training and assessment through Guide Dogs Australia and provides our girls comfort, companionship and emotional support.
The Health Centre, located in Student Services, is a comfortable, fully appointed clinic where students can seek assistance if they are unwell or have had an injury or accident. The College’s open-door approach prioritises student health and wellbeing.
Parents and students are encouraged to seek advice from Nurse Redman on any health management concerns or to plan care for a student who may be recovering from a prolonged illness or injury.
