Being College Captain is more than just the badge and the title

Putting yourself forward for a leadership position takes courage and confidence, and we would like to congratulate all the applicants who nominated themselves for a leadership position for 2019/2020.

This week, twelve of our Year 11 students presented their College Captain speeches to their teachers and peers. Speaking about their love of the College and what it means to them to be a Gen girl, our applicants shared their goals as leaders for the next 12 months.

“Being College Captain is more than just the badge and the title. Being a leader is raising those around you, inspiring younger students with everyday behaviour and ideas, promoting inclusivity and acceptance, being passionate and supporting those around you without judgement.”

Our new College leaders will receive their badges at our Investiture Assembly on Thursday 19 September.
